Weasel kit and its cat mother
I came across this newspaper article this morning and couldn’t resist sharing it. I think the story was published last year but even so … aren’t the photograhs absolutely gorgeous

I think it’s great to see how animals of different species can get on so well together!
A weasel kit frolics with the cat mother’s new litter in West China’s Xinjiang Autonomous Region in this undated photo.
The kit was brought home July 21 by the pregnant cat.
Even after the cat gave birth to a litter of five kittens on July 23, they got along well with each other. [Xinhua]
