We collected him on Sunday – all 390 grams of him. Isn’t he just the sweetest little fellow?

When the others saw him, they scattered and were absolutely not impressed. I was surprised that none of the girls showed any motherly interest in taking care of him, as he’s only just 7 weeks old and hardly a threat to any of them.

I thought Milo would be a nice big brother to Angus and supervised them as they played on the bed. Milo seemed to be fine with him, and if it looked like he’d try to nip him I’d say, “No!” and he backed off.

Because of that I made the fatal mistake of putting Angus down on the floor in the kitchen and Milo pounced!!

The little sod grabbed Angus and ran around the house with him clamped firmly in his mouth, with me shouting and chasing after them both. I was livid!

I finally caught him and rescued Angus, who was making the little kit scared sound of “hrrrk hrrrk”. Poor little man. But apart from a small mark near his eye, there didn’t seem to be any damage.

AND … I also had a visit from Dianne, the president of WAFFS yesterday.

She brought a cage with one of her females and her litter and guess what …. there is one silvermitt boy there!!!! Dianne said she’d give me first refusal but what is there to refuse? I’ve been lusting after a silvermitt boy for quite a while now and they seem to be as rare as hen’s teeth so now I have one! Hurray!!!

He’s only 5 weeks old so will be with his mommy for a while but once he comes here, I will introduce him to the world as well! How wonderful is that – seems like all my Christmases have come at once :-D
