Police launch manhunt to ferret out Biscuit
I wonder what makes kids steal things but I seriously wonder what makes them steal animals. Thank goodness they got Biscuit back!Lisa Allen (right) and her assistant Katie Coombe with Biscuit the ferret
When two teenagers swiped a ferret from Deen City Farm determined staff pursued them sparking a police chase across south-west London.Five-year-old Biscuit was snatched from a locked cage by the young men who then ran off with it.
A visitor who had seen what they were up to warned the workers.”My assistant, Katie, and I ran outside to look for the animal,” said Lisa Allen, the farm’s land and livestock manager. “It had been 10 minutes since the boys were seen so we weren’t sure how far they’d got.”
Luckily some police officers were monitoring actors from the cast of The Bill at the end of the farm drive, so I reported the ferret as stolen.
