I came across a wonderful slide show of otter kits at

and as you can see from the photo of these two scamps …

… they are “otterly” cute!! :-)

Sorry! I couldn’t resist that!

Speaking of otters – I reckon Angus is part otter. He doesn’t drink from the water dish like the others, oh no. He puts both front paws in and snorkles around, then goes hooning around the house like a banshee.

He also loves coming into the shower in the morning and dancing around, getting soaking wet and doing his weasel wardance around the bathroom.

There is a very descriptive English expression which suits him — barking mad! ;-)

I thought albinos were smoochy, cuddly, sweet little things. Well, he’s got those traits but he also acts like a silvermitt on speed at times. When he’s in one of his mad moods, he’s all over the place and there are times I am laughing so hard at his antics that I need to grab my sides so they don’t hurt!

He’s grown but still has huge paws so I feel he’ll grow more. He’s now 1.2kg and looks like a little polar bear. What happened to the little boy who sat in my hand and weighed less than 400g?

I’m still waiting for Seamus to join the family but I haven’t been given a date when he’ll be ready to come, despite asking twice. I’m really disappointed as I was hoping to have two youngsters bonding together and helping each other out with the cranky girls. Now that the girls have FINALLY accepted Angus, we’ll probably have another 6 weeks of poofs and screams while they get used to another intruder.

* sigh *
