In England, the business entertaining season is in full bloom and the big companies are pouring money into sporting events for special clients, like forking out 2,500 pounds for a VIP ticket for a client to see the men’s final at Wimbledon.

Of course, not every company can afford to splash out such big sums of money to keep their clients happy. However most companies agree that it pays dividends to spend money entertaining regular clients to show appreciation for their custom. A small PR company in London decided to invest about 5,000-10,000 pounds to take of their best clients for a day of country pursuits.

And what did that involve … apart from shooting, archery and other outdoor events? Why, a game of ferret roulette! What else?

Apparently these 35 corporate types got to handle a ferret and learn all about them from an expert. Then they had ferret races, and got to bet on which ferret would come out of the pipes first. How cool is that?

Mind you, as all of us who have attended ferret races agree, the word “races” is a bit of a misnomer. The ferrets seem to wander, sniff, turn around, sleep, go up and down the pipes then stick just their heads out at the end to check the weather before heading back up the pipe. :-) )

But it’s usually a ferret who has never been in a pipe and is terrified of the experiences that shoots down and flies out of the other end! From all reports, they had a blast and enjoyed the experience immensely.

What a great good news story!!
