So far, so good!

The medicine seems to have given Muis a new lease on life and she’s a lot more energetic than she was.
Since coming back home from my vacation, I found that she wasn’t keen to climb up onto the bed and cuddle us at night.  I guess it must have hurt to pull herself up?!
Anyway, since having her medication, she gets up at night and proceeds to “wash” my face every night (usually right on 1.00am – what is it with a ferret’s unfailing built-in clock ;-) ) – lick lick lick one side, then she climbs over my face and it’s lick lick lick the other side; then a quick snuffle through my hair before yanking out a couple of follicles and finally she goes inside the doona (quilt) cover and falls asleep.
I am so thrilled she’s back to her old habits!!
I’ve contacted Kamila from OnlinePetHerbs and asked her if she has anything available for Muis’s condition and she said she could organise something which would regulate Muis’s blood sugar levels as well as giving her something to boost her immune system.
As she said, the TCM herbs would be more for giving Muis a good quality of life for the time she has left rather than attacking her tumour.
Sounds like something I’m after!
I asked Kamila to let me know the names of the Chinese herbs she’s put together so that I can let you know like I did with Kaos.  I honestly believe Kaos was with us far longer than she would have been if just on her (Western) heart medication so hope the same can be done for Muis.
I had to share the pictures of Muis snoring away on Philip’s pillow the other morning!  He had bent the top pillow in half so he could sit up against it in the morning and when I went to make the bed, I removed that pillow and found Muis sleeping happily on the bottom pillow.  You can just make out her shaved belly from the ultrasound :-)
