…… to hospital with me today. Hi ho, hi ho :-)

I reckon I should have frequent flyer points for the amount of time I spend at St John! But as it’s always in the Orthopedic Ward, I am known as “The Ferret Lady” and that’s great, because when the nurses start asking me about Monty, I launch into the pleasures of having a ferret as a pet! What a great PR tool! :-) )

Mind you, today I am not so sure I think there are any pleasures in having ferrets, or rather a CERTAIN FERRET (who shall remain nameless but who has been written about many times in this blog – hmmm, can you guess who?!?)!!

The little so-and-so launched himself from my chair onto our camphorwood chest, and that is some leap I can tell you, and he got straight into the beautiful bouquet of flowers which Philip’s staff had sent me on Friday.

You should have seen the mess – it was truly awesome! Water everywhere – on top of the camphorwood chest and all over the floor. I should have taken a picture of the carnage but was so anxious to dry everything before it got water stained I didn’t have time.

The flowers were shredded, the special thingo that the florist put the flowers in … know what I mean? greenish absorbent block of whatever … anyway, that was in a thousand pieces all over the place. The cardboard container was pulled apart and in pieces and it took all of my self-control to not scream that ferret’s name and stamp my gammy legs in rage!

However – it was my fault! I knew he was obsessing about the flowers but thought he couldn’t jump onto the chest. I should have put them somewhere very high up where he couldn’t get them but didn’t, so only have myself to blame for the mess.

Ah me!

Anyway, will be offline for a while so hopefully will be back blogging next week!

Too roo ;-)
