Not a very good photo, I’m sorry, but I hope you can see how filled out she is.

When Muis had her ultrasound, she was only 900g but when I weighed her yesterday, she’d gained over 100g to be over 1kg. I am stoked :-)

Just a few weeks ago she was very hollow around her flanks and her hair was a bit scruffy and sticky-uppy — you know that look which sick ferrets have? — but now she looks so healthy, and not only does she look good, she’s very active and perky when she trots around the house. It’s great to see :-D

Now, is it because of her “Western” medication or because of the Traditional Chinese Medicine? I have no way of saying for certain, but one thing I can say is that I believe it’s the TCM which is helping her.

If you read my entries about Kaos, when she was on her TCM, you’ll know that even the vet was amazed at how long she lasted. I was given a TWO MONTH life expectancy but she carried on happily for 7 months! I think that speaks for itself.

We shall see how Muis goes over the months – my vet said 12-18 months so if she carries on having a good quality of life for longer, then I reckon we can credit the Chinese herbs. Poor old CJ only went for 12 months when he was diagnosed with insulinoma and he slept for most of his final months.

I feel so optimistic about her progress … I hope I don’t end up having to eat my words!

Stay tuned ….! ;-)
