Mad dogs and, no, not Englishmen, but Aussie ferrets :)
I am so happy to say that Mojo has fitted into the family like a glove! There are a few moments when we walk into pockets of rancid odours around the house because Angus jumps on her and acts like a caveman but, for the most part, everyone is happy with each other and she definitely feels at home with all of us.
The Mojosaurus is a feisty ferret – I have never known a kit to be so happy to throw herself at another ferret, like Angus, who was “beating” her up. I’m so glad that she’s not a shy, retiring type. Heaven knows she needs to be able to stand up for herself with the older ones!
She and Zac get on like a house on fire – he absolutely loves her and is incredibly gentle and funny when they play together. He doesn’t even seem to mind when she hangs onto his jowls! Crazy dog! As you can see here, they give us countless moments of laughter when they’re playing with each other

I saw your video posted at the PBU and I really liked it. We also have a dog and have been thinking of getting a ferret for quite some time. It’s nice to see your two pets getting along so well.
Thanks, Lavi. I must say that we’ve been so lucky with the dogs we’ve had over the years – they’ve all been BFF with our ferrets, as were our cats when we had them
When I first got Mash, we had a Rottweiler who really was an extremely gentle giant and he was very tolerant. When he went to the Rainbow Bridge, we got a 2 year old German Shepherd and she was great with the ferrets too. Unfortunately she died last year and we got our latest dog, Zac, from Pet Rescue. He, too, is wonderful with the ferrets, especially the young ones, and it’s so funny to see them play with each other.
