This isn’t a very clear picture of the old girl but perhaps you can notice her swollen stomach. I put a tape measure around it and the circumference was 11 inches.

I went to the vet this morning to ask what I should expect from the diuretics, as she doesn’t seem to have lost any fluid. Apparently the difference should be obvious by now so something isn’t working. I’m waiting for my vet to ring me and talk about it and will pass on her advice.

Kaos is still pretty spritely and is eating and drinking happily, so no awful symptoms are noticable apart from her big, taut stomach.

I have to go into hospital tomorrow morning so will be away till Monday. I managed to tear the muscle down the side of my thigh so it has to be stitched up. 6 weeks on crutches afterwards, so that should be fun with the boys sniffing about :-) ) That’s not the problem – the problem is if Kaos suddenly goes downhill, I won’t be able to jump in the car and take her to the vet. Hopefully we won’t have to fret about that.
