Ahoy all Aussie ferret owners …. make sure you’re either home or have the video primed to tape this particular segment of ABC’s series “The Pursuit of Excellence”, next Tuesday the 25th, as it’s all about ferrets!

I came across a teensy clip of some ferret owners dressing up their ferrets in preparation of the “Bash”, I think. Interesting … to say the least!

I think my gang would bite me if I tried to dress any one of them up and I wouldn’t blame them if they did ;-D

Welcome to Ohio and the annual Ferret Buckeye Bash: the largest and most popular ferret show in the country where hundreds of top breeders, seasoned experts and ferret enthusiasts pamper and parade their pets in a quest for prizes and prestige.

Ferrets (affectionately known as ‘Fuzzies’) are infamous for their mischievous antics, and our esteemed show ferrets are no exception – an amusing contrast to the regal air of show cats or respectable nature of pedigree dogs. Yet they are trained, pampered and primed by their doting owners as the show draws closer.

Like their fuzzy charges, the ferret owners are quirky and endearing.Though these mischievous creatures are unlikely show animals, the competition is serious. Tension is high as judges cast critical eyes over the bone structure, muscle mass and temperament of each furry critter
