Our eldest daughter, Alexia, asked me if I’d seen the video about the ferrets and the Pleo.

I looked at her strangely. “Huh? Pleo? What on earth is a Pleo?”

She sighed, like only a daughter with a simple mother can sigh. “A Pleo is …” She thought for a moment, “Mama, remember the Furby?”

I nodded, relieved to hear a familiar word. “Yes, those ugly looking dolls!”

Big daughter gave me a very old fashioned look. “Hmmm, yes, well … Pleos are the same sort of thing. It’s a robot which looks like a week-old baby Camarasaurus.”

“Oh a CAMARASAURUS!!” Why didn’t you say that at the beginning!”

Hahaha – I love growing old. I can appear to be as dotty as I want to and the kids have to put up with it.

So, I went to look at the link she sent me and saw 4 videos, all of a couple of ferrets investigating this strange sounding creature which was on their sitting room floor.

There were 4 videos all up – very cute!
