What a wonderful thing – after Katrina people obviously felt the need to help animals and their owners during disasters and I salute them for doing this.So – for all you American ferret owners, bookmark this site. I hope you never have to use it but if disaster strikes, you’ll know where to go to get help for your ferret!
T he mission of F.E.R.R.E.T. is to provide aid to domestic ferrets during natural and man-made disasters such as hurricanes, fires, floods, tornados and earthquakes.
F.E.R.R.E.T. is more than just an organization of ferret lovers – although we certainly do love them! We are trained and experienced in disaster response, emergency management operations, shelter operations and emergency transport, ferret health and education.
