Another gem from Alexia ... she sent me an email telling to go and look at a site called crittertude.com and, being the obedient mother that I am, I went and found it to be an absolute hoot.
The guy has all these birds, cats, dog and ferret and he makes the most wonderfully funny comic strips of them out of the photographs he takes.
His ferret's name is Mady, short for Madagascar, and he is the star of all the ferrety comics - and they are priceless! Take a look .... Read more...

I am in awe ... total awe!
A few days ago I had an email from a lady in Kuwait who asked me if she could send me a photo of her ferret and if I could just tell her what kind it was.
I thought, yes, okay. Maybe it was a strange looking silvermitt, or a very dark sable and so perhaps could have been mistaken for a mink or something but never, ever did I expect to see a picture of a marbled polecat! Read more...

I was working in the study when I heard a very strange noise.
I turned and looked, and there was Angus McNaughty with one of Philip's files in his mouth, pulling it along the floor out of the study.
I grabbed the camera and followed him, trying to take as many pictures of the little so-and-so dragging the file ... down the corridor ... under the camphorwood chest ... past the bewildered dog ... and into the sitting room to hide it behind the chair ... all the time while shaking with laughter. I am so jealous ... can you imagine having a pet weasel? No, neither can I
However ... some people do!
I had an email through my site from a lady in the UK who was very thrilled at the information I had on my Least Weasel page and she was asking me if I knew if female weasels showed the same signs of coming on heat as female ferrets do. I told her that I knew nothing personally about weasels, since they aren't in Oz, and that all the information I had put on my page had been gathered from books or the Internet. Read more...
