I honestly don't know what why young Seamus has this obsessive desire to take the tops off all the bottles he can find, I really don't!
Yesterday morning I opened up the sitting room and was getting coffee in the kitchen when I heard a loud bang from the dining room.
I remembered that I had left a new bottle of balsamic vinegar there so was worried Seamus had got on the table and was trying to wrestle with the sealed top, so called Philip and asked him to investigate. Read more...

Here's wishing you all a Happy Valentine's Day ... I hope you get lots of chocolates, flowers, special dinners from your partners and lots of kisses from your ferrets
)
I got a Valentine's Card from Philip yesterday. Big surprise!
I was sitting on our bed and had Kahlua on my lap. She thinks it's great to lie on my lap, using my nightie as a hammock and she goes through a spell of ferocious scratching before getting comfy.

The devastation and the destruction is just overwhelming and it's impossible not to cry when watching the news. It's unbelievable. And to think some of those fires were deliberately lit beggars belief! I've heard that as the firemen were putting out fires, a fire bug was behind them and lighting new fires! Firstly, I am very relieved to say that I got an email from Cass to say she and all her family and animals were fine. Although the fire was close by, it didn't come their way, thank God!
However, she did send me pictures of two of her youngsters that have suddenly developed swollen ears. Apparently they're not bothered by the swelling but Cass wondered if I could help and tell her what the cause might be.
I looked and could only think of ear mites ... but would mites make an ear so swollen?! Read more...

I am so worried about Cass, the lady in Bendigo who has all those ferrets - waking up this morning and reading about the horrors in Victoria and NSW was bad enough, but to know someone who lives in that particular area was awful.
Apparently 50 homes were lost in Bendigo. I have never been there so have no concept what the town is like, nor do I have any idea of where exactly Cass and her family live. Read more...
