My vet removed the stitch from Muis's foot last week and she was a very brave little girl when it was being done - hardly caused a ruckus.
Well, she couldn't have, since I had her pinned to my chest so that she wouldn't jerk her foot while Fiona picked the stitch to remove it
It was all done within seconds and we were home in record time, which was good as I had woken her up to take her to the vet and you know ferrets ... they usually use the litter tray when they wake up (except when you want them to use the litter tray) and I didn't want Muis soiling Fiona's bench top

Several young ferret owners have suggested I make up a LOLFerretz page, so I have.
I've also fixed it so that anyone with their own LOLFerret picture can add it to the site so please feel free to use it to upload any of your funny ferret photos up. I'm sure your captions will be a lot more amusing than my lame attempts.
I made up another poster in the I can has cheezburger vein

A wonderful lady called Cass who breeds ferrets in Bendigo has a number of youngsters still available from this season's litter so I said I'd put the word out on her behalf.
If there are any ferret people in Victoria who are looking to increase their family, or people who want to be first-time ferret owners, then contact me and I'll give you her name and phone number.
She is a super person, always eager to do the best for both the mothers and the kits, so even though I haven't seen her kits personally, I know they're all healthy, beautiful little ferrets who are much loved and well socialised.
I was sooooo keen to get a couple of her kits but we live in the West and the quote I got from a pet transport company to ship 2 kits from Bendigo to Perth was pretty impressive. Over $800! Aaargh!!
I thought that quote was pretty steep. In fact, it probably would be cheaper if I flew to Bendigo and brought the kits back myself.
I got to thinking about that and thought what fun it would be to fly over to Melbourne for the weekend, hire a car and drive to Bendigo and say hi to Cass face-to-face. We only know each other through emails so it'd be lovely to meet her and then I can pick out my own babies and bring them back home. Now that would be a real buzz! :-))
I have written that goal down and told Cass to let me know when her 2009 litters become available. It would be great to bring some new stock into Perth's ferret world!
Of course, that would give me an urge to turn to breeding again but I'm not sure Philip will be as keen. I better start practicing my eyelash batting again :-D
Here are a couple of pictures Cass sent me of some of her kits, taken when they were about 5 weeks old. Aren't they absolutely gorgeous?

After writing my post about those LOLFerrets, I had a good look around that LOLCats site and thought I would try my hand at making up some LOLFerrets posters of my own!
Of course the main problem was how to translate my words into LOLCat-speak but, thanks to Mr Google, I found a site with a translator, so uploaded my photos and translated the words for the caption, and lo ... here is my first LOLFerret attempt
