I just wanted to boast!  We are now the very happy, and relieved, grandparents to our newest grandchild, our first grandson – Alexander – who arrived this morning at 9.22.

He weighed in at 4.06kg (almost 9lb) and was 56cm (close to 22″) – the midwife said he was the longest baby she’d delivered in all the time she’s been delivering! No surprises there as both mother and father are tall people :)

He really is a sweetheart and so cute … but then, aren’t all babies cute!!

Hopefully little Alexander will want to be a vet and have a lifelong appreciation of ferrets due to his mad granny on his mother’s side – LOL!!! :D
