not yet gone but it’s getting there …!

My poor little lady
As you can see from the photos, she’s losing more and more hair.
Can anyone tell me how long it’ll take before the melatonin kicks in and restores her hair?
I mean, I certainly don’t care if she is totally bald, as long as she’s in as good shape as possible, but I do worry about her feeling chilly or uncomfortable without her coat.
Apart from going bald, she seems in pretty good spirits.

It came on Friday and I started her on it immediately.
The instructions said to give it to her twice a day, which I did, but after a couple of days I heard her retching and trying to throw up so I thought I’d stop the evening dose.
I emailed Kamila and asked her advice and she agreed with what I did, saying that the formula was fairly strong and if I was also giving Muis her melatonin tablet every day, it would be fine to just give her the TCM once a day.

It’s like living with a yo-yo! One day Muis is up, the next day she’s down. Gah!
At this precise moment in time, so far so good, thank goodness.
She was really odd at the beginning of the week … I watched her walking around the house and she seemed confused and a bit bewildered about where she was. She’d stand outside a closed door to a room (which she never used to go into) and seemed to wonder why she wasn’t able to go inside – or she’d stand in the middle of the sitting room and look like she didn’t know where she was.

Not a very good photo, I’m sorry, but I hope you can see how filled out she is.
When Muis had her ultrasound, she was only 900g but when I weighed her yesterday, she’d gained over 100g to be over 1kg. I am stoked
Just a few weeks ago she was very hollow around her flanks and her hair was a bit scruffy and sticky-uppy — you know that look which sick ferrets have? — but now she looks so healthy, and not only does she look good, she’s very active and perky when she trots around the house. It’s great to see

Muis’s bottle of TCM arrived yesterday and according to what Kamila wrote, the herbs are “yin and spleen tonics”, which will help regulate her blood sugar levels. Kamila also included some mild strengthening herbs to help with the tumour on her pancreas.
Here’s the make up of the medicine (the information in the brackets are descriptions I found on the Internet, not from Kamila) …
1. Tai Zhi Shen – Radix Pseudostellariae (strengthens spleen and stomach Qi, generates fluids, tonifies lung Qi)
2. Shi Hu – Dendrobium Stem (nourishes the stomach; promotes generation of body fluids; nourishes Yin; clears heat)
