It didn’t take long for Kimiko to start playing with Zac … poor guy, he really is such a tolerant puppy!!
Well, the little girl is now firmly a part of the family and bringing lots of laughter to us with her very cute attempts at doing the weasel wardance as well as crawling all over Zac.
All’s well with the world! Everyone but Spook was snoozing away together this morning and it was good to see little Kimiko cuddled up to the big ones.
She really is a darling and reminds me so much of Kahlua when she was that age. Kahlua was a petite ferret but had the same colouring until she went silver I just love it when I call Kimiko and she comes running to me and if Angus is beating her up and I rescue her, she just stays quietly on my lap, happy to be safe!
She’s 10 weeks old and the oldies have been absolutely wonderful in welcoming her into the family. No stink bombs, no squeals to establish the pecking order, just a lovely acceptance of a newcomer
Cathy brought her over on Friday morning and Jo came along too, mainly to see Spook again, I reckon
When the ladies came into the sitting room, Seamus and Angus appeared and started sniffing at the cat carrier. I went and brought Spook and Mojo out from the chest of drawers and when Cathy opened the cage door and Kimiko appeared, my awesome foursome were curious but, thank goodness, not in any way aggressive towards her.

I just can’t help falling in love with otter pups every time I see video clips of them. They are just so cute and squeezable and their pelts look so thick and luxurious when dry after their swim
These two are just so funny … the way they’re reluctant to jump into the paddling pool for quite a few seconds until they realise that maybe that’s what they should love doing! Then once they do spend a little time snorkling around, the penny drops. Otterly cute, the pair of them. LOL!
Oh poor Zac! He really is such a long-suffering dog!
When he first came to us in June last year (’09), Angus was awful to him. He used to chase him around the house and I was worried that it might put Zac off ferrets for life.
Then we got Mojo in December and Zac realised that some ferrets were good fun – they became BFFs and played beautifully together.
Nine months down the track, enter the Spookster ….
