When is a ferret not a ferret?

When it’s Seamus playing at being a mountain goat!!!

I apologise for this blurred photo but I was laughing so much I couldn’t keep my hands straight when I had to click quickly! Philip wants to change Seamus’s name to Mayhem, but I thought since his surname is O’Trouble, maybe we should call him “Lots” :-) )

You may or may not remember the trouble we had with Seamus biting the washing machine hose months ago. I talked about it in my May 29 entry. Anyway, as well as adding the extra pipe over the hose, Philip also put bricks behind the washing machine to stop Seamus from getting around the back.

Ahoy all Aussie ferret owners …. make sure you’re either home or have the video primed to tape this particular segment of ABC’s series “The Pursuit of Excellence”, next Tuesday the 25th, as it’s all about ferrets!

I came across a teensy clip of some ferret owners dressing up their ferrets in preparation of the “Bash”, I think. Interesting … to say the least!

I think my gang would bite me if I tried to dress any one of them up and I wouldn’t blame them if they did ;-D

The water weasel’s at it again ….!

Thankfully the soda water bottle was empty when it fell onto the floor :-)

Seamus was fast asleep in the chest of drawers but the minute he heard the bottle drop, he flew out and grabbed the bottle as if it were some sort of attacking beast. Quite amazing.

I was watching him as he twist and turned the bottle top and the wretch got it off within seconds, then … as the band played “All hail the conqueror”, he grabbed the bottle and took it into the wardrobe to be stashed under my shoe rack.

My not-so-sick ferret ;-)

I took these photos this morning – as you can see from the first one, Kaos hasn’t got that “skinny” look around her flanks any more. Huzzah \o/

I was just a teensy bit worried about her last week as she was bony to the touch – you know the feeling when you stroke the backs of old or sick ferrets? It seems like they’re dinosaurs, with every bump on their spine showing (not that I’ve ever touched a dinosaur ;-) ).

Okay guys … I have got the page up and running so am looking forward to you sharing your thoughts/ideas/opinions, etc, about natural remedies and whether you think they helped your ferret/s or not.

Please share your story and who knows, we might find that the stories on the page will help someone down the track.

I hope to see you all at Natural Remedies For Ferrets.
