I came across this article and thought it was extremely amusing … it also gives information about the Siberian weasel so also very interesting for all mustelid fans :-)

A SIBERIAN weasel is living in my garden.

That’s not a lyric from the Lennon-McCartney ganja period. There really is a Siberian weasel in the greenery of my compound on Julu Lu.

I’ve encountered him twice now, and the first time – about 1am as I arrived home after walking from work in drizzling rain – caused a double take on both our parts.

Kaos’ stomach

This isn’t a very clear picture of the old girl but perhaps you can notice her swollen stomach. I put a tape measure around it and the circumference was 11 inches.

I went to the vet this morning to ask what I should expect from the diuretics, as she doesn’t seem to have lost any fluid. Apparently the difference should be obvious by now so something isn’t working. I’m waiting for my vet to ring me and talk about it and will pass on her advice.

I’m baaaack!!! :-)

And it’s GREAT to be home! Even though I had a fabulous time with my sister and brother-in-law, I am so happy to be back with my family and my animals!

The dog almost knocked me over when we opened the front door and it was so funny to see the ferrets when I called their names. They all came rushing out of the bedroom and stood looking at me, as if trying to remember who I was ;-)
